Our Misses work hard during the year. Our girls help out in MANY events and inspire young and old alike. They work very close together with their sister teens in showing them how to be positive role models. We fully stand by our girls and help them. Not only is wearing a crown a full time job, but we show them how to have fun at the same time by reaching their goals.
On July 17, 2007 I learned, along with my family, how devastating a fire can be. I witnessed first hand the total destruction of a home and my 3-year-old cousin, Cid Kirkland, lost his life that day. Ever since this tragedy, I have been seeking ways to ensure that no one else should go though such an event. If what I do impacts one life then I have accomplished what I have set out to do. As Miss Clay County I want students to know that I care about them and their families and that they can take an active role in their homes by educating their families about the importance of fire safety so come help me with my journey as I work on my plateform, Save the Day for Cid's Sake..

Animal cruelty is prevalent across the United States in both rural and urban areas and spans socioeconomic boundaries. The high profile cases reported in the media are merely the tip of the iceberg. Many more cases go unreported everyday and range from neglect, which includes lack of proper nutrition, medical attention and shelter, to criminal violence including forced animal fighting and intntional inhumane treatment of animals.
What is needed is the right person to step out in the front and to champion the cause. In the United States there are 74.8 million household pets. Don't they deserve someone to speak for them? Help me speak out and together we can raise awareness on animal abuse.
